1 1/2 lbs (675g) Highland Beef Stewing beef cut into small cubes
2 Onions skinned and sliced
3 Carrots peeled and sliced
2 to 3 medium sized potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
A cup full of peas
3 level Tbsps plain flour
Salt and pepper
1 Tin of chopped tomatoes
1. Place the flour with a little salt and black peper in a plastic
food bag. Seal and shake gently.
Add the beef cubes and shake gently till the meat it coated.
2. Place in a large casserole dish with layers of sliced onion, carrots,
peas and potatoes, sprinkling each layer with a pinch of Nutmeg and
some seasoning to taste.
3. Add the tomatoes and enough beef stock to come at least half way
up the ingredients and cover.
4. Cook in the center of the oven for 2 1/2 hours Gas mark 4 (350°f)
